Mmmm… mangoes are the perfect fruit for devouring on a hot summer’s day. Their juicy texture is perfect for salads and can be served at any time of day.
For this recipe I decided to cut the mangoes into strips, but you can also dice them along with the onions for a fruity salsa if you like.
The fruit salad recipe is great for an entree, but you could also enjoy this as a snack or dessert.
- 2 large Mangoes
- 2 thin slices of Onion
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1/2 tbsp Brown Sugar
- 1 Pinch of Salt
Peel and cut mangoes into thin strips. Place into a small-medium sized bowl.
Cut onion slices in half and add to the mangoes.
In a small bowl or measuring cup, mix lemon juice, brown sugar and sea salt. Add to mango and onion and toss.
Cover and let sit on counter or in fridge for 30-60m before serving.
